Iranian computer shops are restricted from selling pirated copies of DICE’s latest featuring “Grand Bazaar” level; EA says it hopes ban will cut down on piracy.

Rooster’s POV:

Wow, just wow. I get it people, BF3 does look very realistic. Are they not aware that …it’s just a game?

EA has no authorized local resellers in the country, whats the big deal?….Oh yeah, piracy. Anyone who tries to sell it as if it was a Black Market item, will probably be arrested…or worse!

This is what happens when you mix politics and games, shit gets banned for no big deal. What’s worse is the fact that the game is not even sold there, what is the point in banning it? is it just to make a statement? Sometimes people need to understand that a game is a game, for freak’s sake, Russia has been targeted in many games as the “Enemy” you don’t see them making a big stink.

Maybe it’s just me and I’m overlooking the point here, but I think if it has anything to do with video games, the government will do whatever it takes to give it a bad rep. Just one day I want to live in a world where those who play games are known as the “kool kids” and not the “nerds who need to stop playing kids games and get fresh air”.

Iran, it sucks to not be able to play an awesome game and maybe one day we will live in a society where things like games won’t get under their skin.

Let me know what you think and how you feel about the whole shabam. Now I’m going to go play me some BF3.
