“Twisted Metal on PS3 Comes With A Surprise”
-Ign
Rooster’s POV:
For those who didn’t notice the game cover (which looks f*ckin AWESOME!), the new Twisted Metal comes with a little surprise….TWISTED METAL BLACK! Holy shitzer, correct me if I’m wrong but Twisted Metal Black is the all time favorite Twisted Metal game. Now if you’ve listen to any of our podcasts you might of heard me complain about some item choices as Limited Edition items, but this one sir, takes the cake.
It’s very unfortunate that I myself don’t have a PS3 because I would love to get this game, maybe it’s not too late to buy one, hmm…
while I contemplate, here is a list of the new characters:
Death Warrant (Newer Ford Mustang)
Juggernaut (Semi, similar to Darkside)
Meat Wagon (Old school ambulance, similar to station wagon)
Reaper (Motorcycle)
Roadboat (’60s sedan)
Talon (Helicopter)
Vermin (Rodent catcher van)
???? (’80s Monte Carlo)
….Talon? A Helicopter?… I’m confused, you can ride a mofo helicopter? I don’t know if I should be happy or lost. Well if I decide to get the game I know who I’m gonna be, Talon, that’s right.
Feel free to add your two cents on this topic.
Personally, I am not for these types of bonus items for limited edition games due to two counts. First up, there is no guarantee that they will release Twisted Metal Black as a standalone purchase (which would require a $60+ purchase of the new game to get the old one). That pushes out fans of Black that may not be interested in the newer TM game (it can happen).
Second, does it seem like it is a good idea to give a full, AWESOME, game as a free promotion to purchase the newer title? I mean, for many, they will not bother with the older title and just discard it, or not bother downloading it at all. That is a shame if that happens even once.
I would seriously think about buying a PS3 if they give buyers of the newer Twisted Metal game Twisted Metal Black Online- that would be seriously sick.
