Meet The Nerds
The Paranerds
One of the biggest nerds out there. He’s a fan of all things “nerd”related. Plays an unhealthy amount of video games and watches an unreasonable amount of movies. A lover of all things Disney and very into any retro games, he does the occasional comic book too. He’s the owner of Paranerds.com and Host of the ParaNerds Podcast.

The podcast co-host Rooster. I like long walks on the beach…not really. Have been playing games for almost all my life, many of them were great and some not so much. We are all here to express our nerdiness of life, well at least I try. Writes Rooster’s POV and in charge of Pic of the Week. Also the Co-Host of the ParaNerds Podcast. I have been playing video games since I was five. My first console was the SNES and my first game for it was Super Mario All Stars, Super Mario World. I generally enjoy RPG’s, though when it comes to gameplay I prefer them to be completely real time or completely turn based. Outside of video games I enjoy comics (I’m a big Batman fan) books and movies.

Currently studying Journalism at a university in South Jersey, I hope to one day bring real journalism into the video game industry. I’m not very good at talking about myself, so shooting an email to segarr89@students.rowan.edu is probably best. All emails are welcome!

I’m an upper sixth student living in England who likes plays video games, reading books and comics and just generally “geeking out”. Normally found in the library or on the field at school I am often online, and if I’m not online I’m probably studying or asleep (more likely to be studying). At the moment I’m just preparing for my last year of exams as well as university interviews so life is hectic, which rather suits me

I’m a 23 year old student currently living in London studying English Literature and Games Studies. I’ve been into gaming for around 15 years and was first hooked by the Mega Drive back in the day and haven’t looked back since . I’m looking to gain some experience in the field of games journalism by doing some freelancing in-between university work. Please contact me at lazyperfectionist86@gmail.com with any queries.
Born in 1987 Stew grew up during the best and worst times of gaming and nerd culture. On the one hand he got to experience gaming through the bulk of its evolution, watching it grow ever more sophisticated and successful. This was well before nerd culture became socially acceptable however, so suffice it to say his affinity for Star Wars, Batman and The Legend of Zelda meant the ladies weren’t altogether forthcoming with their naughty bits. In addition to his work at The Paranerds, Stew has written for GamesRadar, GamePro, UGO and IGN. He also writes the monthly column New England Gamer at Orson Scott Card’s Intergalactic Medicine Show and runs a small blog under the moniker of New England Nerd. He currently lives in Vermont with his wife who lovingly indulges his geeky whims.
