Lara Croft can be considered one of the elder statesmen (stateswomen?) of video games. She, along with Samus Aran and a few other notables are the original female leads of the digital world. Unfortunately things have gotten stale for Ms. Croft over the years. She’s gone from a quality lead character to a stand-in on a b-class sitcom. Honestly, it was time for a reboot, but does it stack up against the series great titles.
The reputable bodybuilder of the gaming community. The Crysis series has always made PCs flex their muscle. Visually stunning and often extremely inventive when it comes to gameplay. Prophet is back, but should you suit up in the latest and greatest of nanotechnology or let this one pass by?
You may remember me making some comments about Dante’s appearance in the Devil May Cry reboot by Capcom and Ninja Theory. I think I did it in both written and spoken word and quite often. Back at NYCC2012 I was impressed with how the demo turned out and admitted that the new reboot would be worth a shot (despite my overall distaste for reboots). Besides, I’ve always been a strong supporter of Ninja Theory. So is the new DmC a worthy reason to return to the depth of hell or should it be banned to the nine circles for eternal damnation?
Suda51 is not really too familiar with the meaning of the word subtle. He’s not really too familiar with the meaning of many words similar to it either. His most “down to earth” (seems almost weird using this term when it comes to Suda) game would probably be Shadows of the Damned, and only because it was a collaboration and he didn’t really have free reign over everything that went down. Now he’s back in all his glorious insanity with Lollipop Chainsaw, but does it capture the amazing qualities of titles such as Killer 7 and No More Heroes or does it run out of gas half way through obvious up-skirt jokes?

Wesley Snipes is a bad ass. I meant it, I love his movies and think he’s a kick ass actor. He was Blade! So when I heard of a game made about him, possibly by him I had to try it out. Little did I know what I was in for.

Funny Hell is a sort of defend your castle game with a twist, you’re in hell and it’s not so bad.
Throughout history great minds like Plato and DaVinci gave us philosophical questions and great art. These minds opened doors to observing life differently… like building a massive boulder and taking down your gate to kill whoever is inside. This is Rock of Ages. Continue reading »
