LegendofzeldaALBW (1)

All fans ever wanted was a port of Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past for the Wii U or 3DS, Nintendo went a step further and created a direct sequel known as the Legend of Zelda A Link Between Worlds for the Nintendo 3DS. Is this a great sequel or is this link better off broken?

In every genre there is one defining aspect which usually makes them stand out and defines them from all others. One specific element above all others which helps them to appeal to a certain audience. In Rogue-like games it’s the potential for failure and the sheer uphill battle you face, with fighting games it’s the ability to break out endless combos and air-juggle your opponent through the air for minutes on end, and in RTS titles it’s the potential for how thoroughly you can obliterate them. In RPGs of many subgenres it tends not to be the stats or combat which is the most memorable but the stories driving them forwards. Any story can make or break an RPG, especially in how the ending is handled as Bioware found out not too long ago, so what could be considered the best within the genre?

Here’s few suggestions with Paranerds.com’s Top Ten Greatest RPG Endings. (Spoilers! [Obviously])

The 3DS started off on the wrong foot. It was expensive and the line up of games were just OK. In fact, there really are only 4 must have titles and two of them are ports: Super Mario Land 3D, Mario kart 7, Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and Starfox 64. The good news is that there really are better games coming out for the Nintendo 3DS. We’ve made lists before of games we HOPE to see, but this isn’t the case with this list. These are games that are rumored to be in development, or are in development. So after doing some research and asked around, so here are the Top Ten Upcoming 3DS Games.

10. Ninja Gaiden

A bloody Nintendo 3DS game? Yes please. Ninja Gaiden would be a great title for the grown up ( Or “Mature” audience, if you will)  3DS users. Since Ninja Gaiden will be coming out on the Wii U this could act as a prequel and Sort of foretell the characters–or, even better.Make it as bloody as blood can blood. How great would the 3D effect be when your screen is covered in blood and there’s blood splattering all over the place. I clearly have issues.

With the new NGP announced and the Nintendo 3DS already being out and about, we have to consider that portable consoles are losing their momentum because of one thing. The iPhone/Android market.*

*For the sake of argument I’ll be writing about the iPhone mostly; but am referring to the current smart phones with gaming capabilities

I’ve started noticing a thing now where I no longer play my PSP nor my Nintendo DS on the bus or on the can (you all do it!!), I play with my iPhone the most now. At first I thought the iPhone offered crud-tastic games that were not worth purchasing (and it does) but it also offers games that neither the Nintendo DS nor the PSP offers.

First off, I’m the kind of guy that must own titles exclusively for the system even if I don’t like them. For PlayStation 3 I own Little Big Planet, Uncharted and God of War 3,  because it is exclusive for that system, usually I buy the majority of my games on the 360 (because most of my friends own a 360). The iPhone on the other hand offers a lot more exclusive titles then on other portable consoles, which means I can’t buy them all because there are way too many. I’m not talking about crappy rocket games I mean full ports or full exclusive titles. Before the 3DS came out the only way to play Street Fighter IV was on the ps3 or 360. A port was made for the iPhone and it was actually pretty good. There was no port for the DS* or PSP.
